Participants leave with a useable ‘plan on a page’ for their business.

Previous emerging industry BMC participants have described what they learned:

  • It really did open my eyes to the business of farming in ways I hadn’t thought of.
  • How to plan for distribution of my product.
  • Deeper understanding of the value of the product that the target customer segment is looking for.
  • I learned the correct pricing for our target market.

Dates (we encourage you to do both sessions, but welcome participants in just one or other session):

  • Session 1 – BMC and marketplace – Friday, 25 October, 9am-1pm on Teams
  • Session 2 – production and money – Friday, 8 November 9am-1pm on Teams

Hot Decarbonisation Opportunities: Renewable Heat and Energy Efficiency at Industrial Facilities

Industrial activity accounts for approximately 44% of Australia’s total emissions and 45% of energy use. With the burning of fossil fuels involved in more than half of these activities to produce process heat, there is a real need to explore new technology pathways to decarbonise.

On October 29, 2024, ARENA will host an industry-focused webinar to highlight the latest insights drawn from feasibility studies on these technology pathways and solutions, hearing from key players in the manufacturing, meat processing and pet food processing industries.

Program

  • Tackling industrial heat: An overview of technology options – A2EP
  • Case study: Integrating renewable energy and optimizing at a red meat processing facility – G. & K. O’Connor
  • Case study: Recovering heat energy for re-use in manufacturing – Real Pet Foods
  • Case study: Recovering biogas for heat and power from wastewater and organic waste  – Bindaree Food Group
