ON Prime 19 Showcase

The CSIRO ON Prime program equips publicly funded researchers with the tools to uncover where their science can create the greatest real-world impact.

Through this fast-paced, hands-on program, teams engage directly with customers, challenge their assumptions, and identify the most promising pathways forward. The Showcase event marks the culmination of the nine week program, where graduating teams present how they are translating their work towards real-world impact, including the progress made in the program as well as a peek into what they are planning next. It’s also a great opportunity for interested researchers to come and hear more about the program!

  • Meet the teams shaping the future across health, mining, agriculture, and more

  • Hear rapid-fire presentations as researchers translate cutting-edge science into real-world solutions

  • Connect with innovators spanning industry, investment, government and research

  • See how ON Prime works in action, building momentum from early insight to impact pathways

  • Play a role in what happens next – your connections and perspectives could help unlock the next opportunity

GRDC NGN Agricultural Connectivity Out-of-the-Box

Growers across all three GRDC regions report operating in “digital darkness”, limiting their ability to use telematics, automation, and data-driven tools. More than half of growers surveyed by Grain Producers Australia cited connectivity and digital literacy gaps as core reasons for delaying investment in digital technology and automation.

The NGN Grains Adopt Online Workshop is a free, two-session webinar delivered by Connected Farms as part of the GRDC NGN funded Agriculture Connectivity Out-of-the-Box program — providing practical, independent guidance to help growers and agronomists get connected.

  • Session 1 — Understanding Connectivity (50 min) What connectivity means for grain farming, what technology options exist, and how to assess your situation.
  • Session 2 — Choosing & Implementing the Right Solution (50 min) How to select, deploy, and integrate the right connectivity solution for your farm and machinery systems.

Attendees will gain the capability and confidence to implement fit-for-purpose connectivity solutions, improve digital tool reliability, and support progress towards automation. Agronomists can become endorsed connectivity advisors.
