Info Session – Quad Clean Energy Supply Chain Diversification Program – Round 1

Want to hear more about the Clean Energy Supply Chain Diversification Program? Join the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water for an information session for potential applicants.

We’ll cover topics such as eligibility, joint application requirements, assessment criteria and process, key dates and how to apply. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

DEADLINE: Quad Clean Energy Supply Chain Diversification Program – Round 1

The Quad Clean Energy Supply Chain Diversification Program will provide grants to fund research and development projects and feasibility studies delivered as a joint project between Australian and eligible Indo-Pacific organisations.

The program aims to:

  • help develop and diversify solar photovoltaic (PV), hydrogen electrolyser and battery supply chains in the Indo-Pacific
  • address vulnerabilities in solar PV, hydrogen electrolyser and battery supply chains in the Indo-Pacific to help these supply chains become more resilient
  • accelerate the development of investment-ready solar PV, hydrogen electrolyser and battery supply chain projects in the Indo-Pacific.
What do you get?
A grant between A$100,000 to A$2,500,000, to cover up to 95% of eligible expenditure.
Who is this for?
Australian organisations who join with an eligible Indo-Pacific organisation/s to complete research and development projects and feasibility studies.

EnergyLab Climate Solutions Accelerator Public Showcase

EnergyLab will hold an online event on 10 December from 10:30 – 12:00 AEDT to showcase the ten startups in the 2024 Climate Solutions Accelerator cohort. From industrial heat to passive cooling solutions and energy storage to electric aviation, the cohort is poised to majorly contribute to decarbonisation in the coming years.

Each startup will present for a few minutes, and we’ll take live questions from the audience.

WA Investor Office Hours

Founders Factory is looking to meet Western Australia’s most ambitious climate and deep tech founders.

​This year, Founders Factory launched two new programs centred in Perth—a Mining Tech Accelerator with Rio Tinto, and a Nature Tech Accelerator with the Western Australian Government. Each startup receives seed capital, a four-month program of operational support covering customer discovery, marketing/ sales, building talent, raising capital amongst other areas, as well as guidance from government, access to commercial opportunities and global connections.

LESANZ: Why is Energy Difficult?

Fundamentals in understanding the energy transformation and why “green” does not come easy.

LES Scandinavia and the LESI CEEM Committee (Chemicals Environment Energy Materials) proudly invite you to this exciting and relevant webinar with Professor Jan Blomgren. Professor Blomgren will explore the complexities behind the global energy transformation, and delve into why renewable energy sources, while promising, come with significant technical, financial, and infrastructure challenges. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the realities of “green” energy, including issues with grid stability, energy storage, and the role of nuclear power in a sustainable future. The webinar aims to clarify common misconceptions and provide a solid foundation for understanding today’s energy innovation landscape. The webinar is co-hosted by LES Scandinavia and the LESI CEEM Committee.

DEADLINE: GreenTech Hub Director

As Director, you will work closely with Curtin’s world-class research teams, government departments, industry leaders, startups, and SMEs to develop cutting-edge solutions and scale up green innovations. You will spearhead efforts to reduce carbon emissions, promote sustainability, and develop a thriving GreenTech ecosystem. You will also be part of a world-class academic community that values excellence, integrity, and making a positive impact on society.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic vision for the GreenTech Hub in alignment with its mission to drive green technology development across WA.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a dedicated team to deliver key initiatives and ensure the Hub’s successful operation.
  • Advocacy: Promote the importance of green technologies in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, emphasising their potential for environmental sustainability and economic growth.
  • Partnership Building: Cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships with industry sectors such as energy, mining, agriculture, and manufacturing, as well as government agencies, universities, and other key stakeholders.
  • Innovation Challenges: Co-design and execute innovation challenges that incentivise the adoption of green technologies to reduce emissions across various industries.
  • Capacity Building: Develop and implement state-wide programs to support start-ups and green technology providers in scaling up and commercialising new solutions.
  • Events and Knowledge Transfer: Organise workshops, seminars, and networking events that promote collaboration and showcase green technology innovations.
  • Education and Training: Collaborate with educational and training institutions to support the growth of skills in green technologies across WA.
  • Investment Attraction: Leverage GreenTech initiatives from the Commonwealth and industry to attract investment for research, development, and commercialisation of green technologies.
  • Advisory Support: Provide expert advisory support to industry stakeholders and government on green technology solutions and collaborative opportunities.

DEADLINE: AgriFutures / Earthshot Prize Opportunity

Between $150,000 and $500,000 funding to support co-innovation between SMEs across Singapore and Australia

This program provides funding for Australian and Singaporean enterprises to collaborate on commercially viable, innovative green products and services.

Grants will support projects that focus on priority green economic sectors, including:

  • renewable and green energy
  • waste managment and circular economy
  • sustainable agribusiness and food
  • green transportation and logistics
  • built environment and infrastructure
  • energy efficient technologies and products
  • advanced manufacturing and sustainable materials
  • environmental monitoring, analysis and assessment.
