Climate Tech Lab to Market Info Session

EnergyLab’s Climate Tech Lab to Market is a commercialisation program supporting researchers by equipping them with the right tools, knowledge and network to go-to-market with a market validated application of their technology and launch a start-up.

his online 9-week program will support researchers by focussing on the following topics:

✔ understand how to establish product-market fit

✔ create a go-to-market strategy

✔ cover the legal basics, including IP protection and extraction

✔ gain entrepreneurial skills: i.e. branding, selling, pitching & capital raising.

Applications are open until 9 March for this program, with program kick-off on March 24.

DEADLINE: Climate Solutions Accelerator Program

The Climate Solutions Accelerator is EnergyLab’s flagship program and provides the best climate tech startups with all the support they need to reach their potential. Open to startups at all stages, this program is for entrepreneurs looking to deploy solutions that mitigate climate change at scale. That could be alternative protein, carbon sequestration, renewable energy or anything in between. They will invest $80-100k and introduce you to Australia’s most active climate tech investors, plus help you expand your business by connecting you to their extensive network in Australia and overseas.

  • Applications open: 20 January – 14 March 2025
  • First round interviews: 7 – 25 April 2025
  • Selection pitch: 26 – 30 May 2025
  • Program runs: 4 August – 12 December 2025

Accelerated Mineral Carbonation Research Program Info Session

The AMC Research Program includes funding support for: 

  1. Breakthrough Projects (2 available up to $750,000 each, financial leverage greater than or equal to 4)
  • For large-scale, high-risk, high-reward research initiatives
  • Projects must involve at least one industry partner
  • 3-year duration
  1. Innovation Projects (5 available up to $150,000 each, financial leverage greater than or equal to 4)
  • For targeted research on specific aspects of mineral carbonation
  • Projects must involve at least one industry partner
  • 2-year duration
  1. Rapid Response Projects (10 available up to $25,000 each, financial leverage greater than or equal to 2)
  • For short-term, focused studies addressing urgent challenges
  • Funding support available to industry, First Nations, university and government organisation applicants
  • 6-month duration
