DEADLINE: WA Creative Tech Innovation Hub Operator

The new WA Creative Tech Innovation Hub will support creative industries across Western Australia’s nine regions, with focus areas including design, music, advertising, film, and media, as well as emerging technology sectors including gaming, product design, software development, and immersive technologies. It will nurture partnerships and develop new collaborations with creative tech and innovation partners locally, nationally and globally.

The WA Creative Technologies Innovation Hub requires an Operator from 1 July 2027.

  • The Hub will build partnerships with secondary and the higher education sector to support and expand programs that prepare students for future careers in creative technologies. The Hub will build capability and capacity in creative and immersive technology industries across WA by:
  • Helping businesses and creative enterprises grow by linking research, entrepreneurship and education in the use of digital and immersive technologies
  • Identifying strategic investment opportunities to advance ideas and foster collaborations that deliver improved commercial, community, and cultural outcomes
  • Showcasing independent WA creative talent through local, national and international events and partnerships
  • Expanding the State’s presence in the global digital supply chain of creative services, content and code
  • Supporting research, innovation, and the practical integration of digital and immersive technologies across industries
  • Driving greater understanding and adoption of user-centric design and human factors engineering
  • Building and nurturing collaborations with industry, research institutions, and global partners to drive innovation and market growth
  • The Hub director attending the State-funded innovation Hubs’ directors bi-monthly meetings to promote statewide cross-sectoral networks for their Hub’s startups, emerging businesses, SMEs, and others
  • Delivering Statewide outreach and access pathways for supporting regional innovators and First Nations businesses
