The Three Minute Thesis competition celebrates the exciting research conducted by Doctor of Philosophy and Masters by Research students.

3MT cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills. The competition supports their capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.

The 10 Curtin Finalists have advanced to the Final having finished top of their respective Faculty Heats. A Judging Panel will critique the presenters using criteria for comprehension and content, and engagement and communication. Cash prizes await the top three judged competitors, with the winner to represent Curtin Univesity at the Asia Pacific Final in September.
