SUMMARY:AICC(WA) Space – The Final Frontier
DESCRIPTION:The AICC(WA) brings you a rare event that will showcase Israel’s innovations in the global space sector and seek to explore the synergies that might exist already or be developed between Israel and Australia in the space domain. \nOpportunities may exist in areas as diverse as space-based remote sensing\, satellite communications and growing plants in zero or low gravity environments. \nIsrael has a long standing and successful space heritage in launch\, satellite design\, manufacture durable and competitive products and services that contribute to the global space economy. Israel was the eighth country in the world to succeed in launching and positioning satellites in space. \nThis fnTS event continues the AICC(WA) tradition of presenting relevant and timely knowledge exchange between Israel and Australia. Taking into account the relative maturity of the Israeli space sector and the nascent state of the Australian space sector – the drivers\, imperatives\, constraints\, and opportunities and the pathway that led to Israel’s success. \nThis event will also feature Israeli’s remarkable space success story SpaceIL\, judged as the most unique among GLXP contenders in the Google Lunar X Prize (GLXP)\, which offered US$30 million in prizes to inspire teams to develop low-cost methods of robotic space exploration. The audience will learn how SpaceIL’s incredible journey thus far has significantly contributed to the burgeoning space industry worldwide including Australia.
