SUMMARY:IEEE PES/PELS Technical Talk
DESCRIPTION:IEEE PES/PELS Technical Talk \nJoin us for an engaging technical talk hosted by IEEE PES and PELS. This in-person event will take place at 152-158 St Georges Terrace. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to network with industry professionals and expand your knowledge in the field. Mark your calendars and be sure to attend this informative session! \nSummary of Talk: Network Access Quantities: Summary and Lessons Learned \nThe Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) in Western Australia includes a Reserve Capacity Mechanism (RCM) to ensure sufficient generation and storage during peak load conditions. The WEM has recently transitioned to a Constrained Access regime\, and the RCM has been updated to reflect Constrained Access by including the calculation of Network Access Quantities (NAQ). A NAQ represents the typical availability of the network to each facility during peak conditions. This presentation summarises how NAQs are calculated and applied in the WEM\, and offers lessons learned during implementation and operation of the scheme. \nVenue: [In-Person] 152/158 St Georges Terrace\, Perth WA 6000 \nEntry is either via Ground level then stairs\, which lead up to the first-floor foyer\, and in turn the theatrette and other board/seminar rooms; or if required there is also elevator/disabled access to the first floor from an alternative entry approx. 20m from the main entrance. The main entrance to the Conference facilities is off the arcade/courtyard located behind the main Central Park office tower. This area can be accessed from St. Georges Terrace\, Hay\, or William Streets. Several public parking areas are within easy walking distance.
