REdesign Clothing Supply chains, challenges and solutions

Join the EMRC, in collaboration with the Circular Textile Working Group WA, for the second event in the REthink REdesign REstyle series.

REdesign delves into the challenges and innovative solutions in sustainable fashion design and production. This event will brings together leading Australian designers to discuss waste reduction, transparency, and the future of circular fashion. Expect expert presentations, engaging panel discussions, and networking opportunities with industry leaders such as Courtney Holm, Stephanie Devine, and more.

The Fortescue Innovation Grants aim to inspire Pilbara based community members to innovate and embrace green and sustainable initiatives, events and programming. Grants of up to A$25,000 (GST exclusive) are available for eligible applications, supporting community initiatives within the council boundaries of the Town of Port Hedland, City of Karratha, Shire of Ashburton and Shire of East Pilbara.

DEADLINE: DWER x WADSIH Data Competition // WAVE

Western Australia Vegetation Extent (WAVE) initiativeThis online data competition is part of the Western Australia Vegetation Extent (WAVE) initiative, which seeks to develop an AI-powered, semi-automated system to track and map WA’s native vegetation.
The goal?
To improve environmental decision-making, land-use planning, and conservation efforts with statewide, regularly updated vegetation data.

The IPPIN Incubator Program is a free five-week online introductory program for researchers, startups and small to medium enterprises (SMEs) looking to redefine the plastic waste lifecycle.

It is designed to help teams understand the potential of their project or idea with customer discovery and market validation of plastic waste solutions, with support from mentors and advisors to improve communication skills, challenge assumptions and take research projects to the next level.

The Indo-Pacific Plastics Innovation Network (IPPIN) is designed to nurture ideas and empower ventures by bridging the gap between research, entrepreneurship, and investment to redefine the plastic lifecycle and create a circular economy.

The IPPIN Incubator Program is a free five-week online introductory program for researchers, startups and small to medium enterprises (SMEs) looking to redefine the plastic waste lifecycle.

It is designed to help teams understand the potential of their project or idea with customer discovery and market validation of plastic waste solutions, with support from mentors and advisors to improve communication skills, challenge assumptions and take research projects to the next level.

The program offers the opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs across the Indo-Pacific region, fostering cross-cultural networking and collaborations.

IPPIN is supported by the Australian Government and implemented by Australia’s national science agency, CSIRO in partnership with governments in Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
