Quantum Technology for Business webinar

A practical briefing on one of the most significant emerging technologies in Australia

Join us online for a free one-hour webinar: Quantum Technology for Business: What It Is, What’s Real Now, and What It Means for You.

This session has been developed jointly by Australian Industry Group and Quantum Australia for business owners and executives who want to cut through the hype and understand what quantum technology actually means for their industry.

Quantum technology is advancing rapidly, and its implications for sectors including manufacturing, defence, logistics, construction and critical infrastructure are real and near-term. Yet many business leaders remain uncertain about where to focus attention, what risks and opportunities are genuine, and how to engage with this emerging field now. This webinar is designed to give you a grounded, practical briefing, not a technology lecture. The program brings together leading voices across quantum science, commercial deployment and industry adoption.

The session will cover three themes:

  • Quantum fundamentals — what the technology is and isn’t, and what it can actually do today
  • Commercial realities — what’s available now, what’s coming next, and how to assess readiness and risk for your organisation
  • Industry adoption — what quantum means in practice for non-quantum businesses, drawn from real-world experience

You will hear directly from each presenter what quantum technology means for businesses like yours — not just a summary of published research, but practical insight you can act on.

Presenters:

  • James Thomson, Lead – Standard & Product Regulation, Australian Industry Group
  • Fernando Guerra Alves, Manager, Strategic Partnerships Development and Projects, Quantum Australia
  • Dr Marcus Doherty, Co-Founder and CTO, Quantum Brilliance
  • Andrew Tingay, Global Principal, Advisory, Jacobs

This webinar is complimentary and open to Australian Industry Group members and the public. Places are limited. We hope you will be able to join us for this practical briefing on one of the most significant emerging technologies for Australian industry.
