DESCRIPTION:Join the University of Western Australia’s Centre for Water & Spatial Science at our Seminar Series launch event on 22nd of August! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us on Tuesday\, 22nd August 2023 at The University Club of Western Australia as we launch the Centre for Water and Spatial Science (CWSS) seminar series. This exciting event brings together a diverse and interdisciplinary community\, encompassing all areas across the University\, to foster a rich exchange of ideas and promote innovation. \nThe Centre is hosted within the UWA School of Agriculture and Environment. CWSS coordinates\, promotes\, and profiles the critical mass of world-class research capability and capacity at UWA by drawing together individuals across schools including SAgE (School of Agriculture and Environment)\, School of Earth Sciences and School of Civil\, Environmental\, and Mining Engineering (Environmental Engineering). \nThe launch event will be held exclusively in person\, however\, we understand that not everyone may be able to join us in person due to various constraints. Through engaging discussions\, we will delve into the latest research and advancements in water science\, catchment management\, and spatial data. \nCWSS is built around five core themes: \n\nResilient Landscapes\nWater and a Changing Climate\nCatchment to Coasts\nData Driven Discovery and Spatial Analytics\nResearch-Teaching Nexus\n\nThe CWSS’s expertise perfectly aligns with UWA’s strategic priorities\, focusing on environment\, food security\, economic development\, and human health. By joining this event\, you will have the opportunity to connect with industry leaders\, innovative researchers\, and research students who are at the forefront of addressing these critical issues. \nThe launch event will feature short presentations from lead researchers\, providing insights into their ground breaking work. In addition\, discussions will allow for in-depth conversations and the exchange of ideas.
