SUMMARY:How VC Works in WA (and Beyond)
DESCRIPTION:What do venture capital investors look for\, and how does VC funding work in Western Australia?\nJoin Trent Rachow\, Venture Capital Associate at FundWA\, for an online session exploring how venture capital works in WA and across Australia. With seven years of experience in venture capital\, Trent understands the challenges and opportunities involved in raising venture funding and works closely with startups on their fundraising strategies. \nThe session will cover 40 minutes of insights from Trent\, followed by 20 minutes of Q&A\, giving founders the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about navigating the venture capital landscape. \nAbout the speaker \nTrent Rachow is the Venture Capital Associate at FundWA\, one of Western Australia’s leading venture capital funds. He has been active in venture capital for seven years\, starting as a Student Fellow at AfterWork Ventures. Trent works on fundraising strategies with FundWA’s 13 portfolio companies and supports the broader startup ecosystem to help get more game-changing startups funded. \nThis event is run by Perth Landing Pad\, a program run by Spacecubed and supported by the City of Perth and Department of Energy and Economic Diversification\, in collaboration with InnoLab Asia.
