SUMMARY:Bloom Pitch Night (2.0)
DESCRIPTION:Bloom is bringing you Pitch Night (2.0) — a fun\, low-pressure night where you can get up and share pretty much anything. Pitch your startup. Pitch your side hustle. Pitch your friend. Practice your public speaking. Test out a random concept. Overshare a little. We’re not here to judge\, we’re here for the vibes.\nIn collaboration with Sidequesters of Perth\, this event is all about making pitching feel playful\, social\, and actually fun. You do not need to be super polished\, super professional\, or have your life together. This is a space to show up\, have a go\, and enjoy being around other creative\, ambitious\, and slightly chaotic people. \nExpect short pitches\, fun energy\, drinks\, nibbles\, and a crowd that’s here to support\, laugh\, hype each other up\, and maybe hear the next big idea… or just a very convincing case for why someone’s friend is the catch of the century.

You will also learn which metrics actually matter and when to stop\, tweak\, or scale. \nPractical\, honest\, and built for real world founders who want results\, not just impressions.

DESCRIPTION:This International Women’s Day\, we’re celebrating big dreams\, bold moves\, and seriously good cookies. \nJoin Nadia Nesevski\, founder of Cookie Loaded\, as she shares how she turned a home-baked idea into a cookie empire. SUMMARY:Bloom: Controversial Chats
DESCRIPTION:Do you have spicy opinions? Discussing difficult topics respectfully helps us to break down our echo chambers\, share understanding and promote deep thought. The goal is not to agree\, but to effectively communicate with people who have different mindsets and opinions. \nJoin us \n📅 Mon 5th Aug 2024\n⌚ 5:30 pm – 7:30pm\n🍷 Food and drinks provided\n🎫 Free – Register now!\n\nHow does Controversial Chats work? Five chairs sit facing the rest of the room – four are filled with people who have something they want to say\, the fifth sits empty. Time starts and everyone sitting on one of the chairs gets two minutes to share their thoughts on the chosen topic. \nAnyone from the audience can come sit in the empty chair at any time. As soon as the fifth chair is filled someone sitting in one of the other four chairs must leave their seat and join the audience. The fifth chair must always remain empty as an invitation to voices we may not have heard from. \nRules of engagement: \n\nBe respectful – criticise the idea\, not the individual\nStick to the idea – discuss the issue not your perception of it\nEveryone gets a go – respect their time\nUse I statements – feelings not facts\nFind common ground – look for points of agreement

SUMMARY:ESG Symposium: Building Global Readiness in Early Stage Startups
DESCRIPTION:The global green technology and sustainability market size is projected to grow from 16 billion in 2023 to 61 billion by 2030.  National and international trading standards increasingly require businesses to report on their impact and governance. ESG compliance is now a crucial factor in a start-ups ability to scale. \nHowever\, navigating the world of ESG\, SDGs\, B Corp\, can be complex  and overwhelming\, particularly for start-ups who often have limited resources and capabilities. \nThis symposium is a world-first collaboration of providers which aims to ensure that all WA startups are operating at global standards for economic\, social and governance. Enabling them to be competitive not just nationally; but globally. \nA day of targeted hands-on workshops followed by personalised interaction with industry experts\, this symposium allows stage startups to accelerate growth and success by integrating ESG (Economic\, Social\, Governance) principles into the core of their venture.

SUMMARY:FKUP Nights Perth X Bloom X WASEC: Youth Special
DESCRIPTION:A global movement and series of events where stories of failure are shared. Because with #peakstartup\, a 90% failure rate\, and all the talk of motivation and positivity\, there’s something missing.. talking about failure\, and learning from sharing stories of failure! Free your failures\, Perth will thank you! \nHOW IS IT DONE? \nIn every Fkup Night 3 speakers tell their failure story explaining: \nWhat was the project? \nWhat went wrong? \nWhat did they learn? \nWhat would they do differently? \nJoin Bloom\, WASEC and Fkup Nights Perth for a special youth focused Fkup Night at Bloom Curtin. Get in quick before tickets sell out! \nEach speaker tells their story in 10 images followed by Q&A. At the end of the speakers’ stories\, attendees are welcome to stick around and network over drinks. Previous Fkup Night speakers have varied from social entrepreneurs\, tech founders\, and even a doctor who a few years ago opened an adult shop that went broke. Just so you get an idea\, Fkup Nights is something between a party and a casual business conference 🙂 \nAll proceeds from the night go to a local Social Enterprise.
