What does the energy transition look like on the ground?
Join the Australian Institute of Energy (AIE) for a two-day immersive journey through Western Australia’s South West, exploring how food systems, communities, and energy infrastructure are evolving together — from regenerative agriculture and off-grid living to microgrids and industrial-scale decarbonisation. This is not a conference. It’s a field experience.
What to expect?
Over two days, we’ll visit a curated set of real-world sites that bring the transition to life:
- Circular economy in action – tour large-scale organic waste processing and soil regeneration systems
- Regenerative food & off-grid living – hear from George at Tiller Farm and explore a fully off-grid dining experience
- Sustainable communities – walk through Witchcliffe Ecovillage and its integrated energy, water, and waste systems
- Microgrid innovation – see how embedded networks and distributed energy are powering new industrial precincts
- Waste-to-energy at scale – visit one of WA’s most significant energy recovery facilities
