Horizon Europe Roadshow Australia 2026 – Webinar

Following the successful conclusion of treaty negotiations for Australia’s association to Horizon Europe’s FP9 Pillar II program, EURAXESS Australia and New Zealand and the Australian Government Department of Industry, Science and Resources delivered the Horizon Europe Roadshow Australia 2026 across Australia’s eight state and territory capitals in September.
For those who were unable to attend one of the eight in-person events, there will now be a national webinar covering the core Roadshow content.
Australia is now undertaking its domestic treaty processes and Australian entities will be able to apply for Horizon Europe Pillar II funding calls under the 2027 work program from 1 January 2027.
Horizon Europe is the European Union’s flagship research and innovation programme. Australia’s planned association opens new opportunities for Australian (including Western Australian) researchers, research organisations, industry and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and other research and innovation stakeholders to participate in collaborative research and innovation projects with partners across Europe and beyond.
The webinar will support Australian entities to participate from day one (1 January 2027) by helping the Australian research and innovation community understand the opportunities available and prepare for effective engagement in Horizon Europe.
What Will the Webinar Cover?
Australia and Horizon Europe: Association and Next Steps: An overview of Australia’s association to Horizon Europe, the domestic treaty making process, and next steps.
