The University of Sydney invites engagement from experienced capital providers (domestic or international) on the design of a new vehicle for funding the commercialisation of University-linked startups and spinouts.
They have estimated that its growing portfolio of high potential research-derived ventures will require more than A$200 million in capital in the coming years. To help address this emerging need, the University aims to establish a new venture capital partnership to support the commercialisation and scaling of University-linked startups and spinouts.
The result could take a range of forms, including a single fund, a co-investment platform, or a hybrid approach.
