ARENA has allocated up to $250 million to Solar SunShot Round 3 to support the manufacture, development and scale-up of advanced technologies used to build and operate large-scale solar.

Round 3 is focused on solar balance-of-plant and deployment technologies, including racking, tracking, robotics, advanced automation, prefabrication and other technologies that can reduce the cost of constructing and operating solar PV facilities.

The Round is open to Australian and international companies incorporated in Australia seeking to establish, expand or demonstrate relevant manufacturing and technology capabilities in Australia. The focus is on projects with the scale and innovation needed to make large-scale solar cheaper and faster to deploy and build lasting capability in Australia.
