Applications are now open for MRIWA’s 2027 Scholarships Program, supporting future research leaders undertaking innovative minerals and mining-related research in Western Australia.

The program offers scholarships to PhD postgraduate students undertaking minerals and mining-related research at Western Australian universities. Recipients will also gain access to MRIWA’s Education and Workforce Program, providing valuable professional development opportunities and industry connections.

The Program provides:

• annual scholarship funding of $45,381
• an additional annual research and travel allowance of $6,483
• access to events and networking opportunities
• training and ongoing support throughout the scholars’ studies
