The Strategy, Performance and International Engagement Group shapes and aligns strategy, policy, planning, evaluation and communication across DEED to ensure effective delivery, resource utility and a continued focus on Government’s priorities.

The Strategy and Commonwealth Engagement team is seeking two highly capable and motivated individuals to join our team – there is a Level 4 and Level 5 Policy Officer role available.

As a Policy Officer, you will contribute to the development and coordination of evidence-based policy and strategic initiatives by conducting research, analysing issues and preparing strategic advice for decision-makers.

Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders,, you will provide advice on policy matters across a broad range of Government priorities that support the State’s economic development, diversification and energy transition objectives. You will also support the Department’s engagement with the Commonwealth Government on shared priorities in economic development, industry development and strategic policy, providing clear and coordinated advice that strengthens intergovernmental collaboration and outcomes for the State.
