Ag2050 Next steps: scenarios to decisions
22 October @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm AWST
CSIRO’s Ag2050 program has been a disruptive multi-year initiative aimed at identifying interventions, innovations, and support necessary for a productive, resilient and sustainable future for Australian agriculture. It began with the Ag2050 Scenarios Report, and has recently wrapped up within CSIRO as a research program, marked by the launch of the Ag2050 next steps – scenarios to decisions discussion paper, which was written following a Roundtable earlier this year.
Join CSIRO for a webinar featuring a panel discussion and Q&A facilitated by Dr Rose Roche, with insights from:
- Nick Blong, First Assistant Secretary, Productivity and Sustainability Division, Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
- Katie McRobert, Executive Director, Australian Farm Institute
- Joshua Gilbert, Author & Worimi Farmer.
Explore the implications of the Discussion Paper’s findings and reflect on:
- How Ag2050 and related work can support decision-making across the agricultural sector
- Emerging opportunities and challenges for Australian farming systems
- Priorities for future research, collaboration and investment
- The role of different sectors in shaping resilient and prosperous agricultural futures.
