World Renewable Energy Congress XXI
4 December 2022 - 9 December 2022
Professor Ali Sayigh, Director General of the World Renewable Energy Network (WREN), and Dr Martin Anda, Chair of Environmental Engineering at Murdoch University, welcome you to the World Renewable Energy Congress XXI (WREC2022) to be held at Murdoch University in Perth Western Australia from 4 – 9 December, 2022. What an exciting time to be sharing ideas, presenting the latest research, and discussing renewable energy science, technology, policy and associated social issues. The ongoing pandemic clearly presents us with many challenges at the same time making way for new ideas and innovation. At no time has energy played a more crucial role in the development and wellbeing of nations than at present. The source and nature of energy, the security of supply and equity of distribution, the environmental impact of its supply and utilization, are all crucial matters to be addressed by suppliers, consumers governments, industry, academia, and financial institutions. The World Renewable Energy Congress (WREC) is a major forum for networking between these sectors and addresses these issues through regular meetings, exhibitions, and conferences such as WREC2022.
