WiTWA: DEI Masterclass – LGBTQIA+
14 September 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm AWST
Event description
Tickets are now available for a very special WiTWA DEI Masterclass, ‘LGBTQIA+ in the workplace’ with Pride in Diversity on R U OK? Day.
Pride in Diversity are specialists in HR, organisational change and workplace diversity dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of LGBTQ people by reducing exclusion, invisibility, homophobia and stigma in the workplace.
Research has shown that a disproportionate number of LGBTQIA+ Australians experience poorer mental health outcomes and have higher risk of suicidal behaviours than their peers. These health outcomes are directly related to experiences of stigma, prejudice, discrimination and abuse on the basis of being LGBTIQ+.
Join us for an educational and thought-provoking discussion on how we can all improve our workplace culture, policies, and initiatives to support our LGBTQIA+ community.
This event is supported by our venue sponsor Visagio Australia. Visagio was the first Corporate Member of the WiTWA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Corporate Program.
