NovaCina is a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) based in Bentley offering premium sterile liquid pharmaceutical contract manufacturing services. The team has expertise spanning early-stage drug development, full-scale manufacturing, and advanced analytical studies.

NovaCina is owned by the Bridgewest Group, an investment company with a passion for innovation in technology and life sciences. For over 20 years, the Bridgewest Group has developed businesses with innovative solutions that improve the lives of patients and advance the field of medicine.

NovaCina’s facility has been in continuous operation for over thirty years, with NovaCina taking over the site from Pfizer in 2023.

About our speaker

Brett Alderson – President of NovaCina and COO of Bridgewest Perth Pharma

Brett Alderson is a seasoned veteran in the pharmaceutical industry predominantly working with the manufacturing of sterile injectables. Brett is a determined and thoughtful leader adept at driving business success and leading through change. He is a champion for customers, instilling a customer-centric culture with transparency and helpfulness. He enjoys mentoring and nurturing a diverse workforce with a clear imperative of open and honest communication. Brett has a reputation as an energetic problem solver, acting with integrity and care, and always encourages solutions for a brighter tomorrow by empowering people.

Brett’s career includes more than 25 years at Pfizer (Perth) Pty Ltd., including 5 years as Site Lead. Where he oversaw a 400-member team and the production of sterile injectable medicines for local and global markets.

Brett has a bachelor’s degree in applied science in Chemistry from Curtin University.
