DESCRIPTION:In order to deliver sovereign value for the Australian agricultural\, industrial fermentation and biomedical sectors\, Bioplatforms is partnering with multiple providers across the NCRIS system for seamless access to synthetic biology capabilities:\nKey Points\n1. The aim of this Voucher Scheme is to enable projects addressing significant scientific challenges using synthetic biology capabilities at NCRIS SynBio and NCRIS Partner facilities. \n2. Applications for a Primary Voucher will include a Lead Provider from one of the NCRIS SynBio facilities and a Partner facility. Primary Vouchers will be awarded to a maximum of $50\,000 and will match the contribution of the applicant. \n3. Applicants may also apply for a Secondary Voucher to incorporate another Partner facility which will bring an added capability to the proposed project. Secondary Vouchers will be awarded to a maximum of $25\,000 and will match the contribution of the applicant. \nScheme opens for applications:  3 July 2026\nScheme closes for applications:  11 September 2026\, 5 pm (AEST)

DESCRIPTION:The Office of Medical Research and Innovation (OMRI) is pleased to host the fourth event in its 2026 OMRI Speaker Series\, featuring Professor Mirko Uljarevic\, a Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Fund Distinguished Fellow. \nThe OMRI Speaker Series provides a regular forum for thought leadership\, discussion and sector‑wide engagement across Western Australia’s health and medical research and innovation ecosystem. \nIn this session\, Professor Uljarevic will present on Transforming the clinical pathway for children with autism and neurodevelopmental conditions: from big data to novel assessments. Drawing on his FHRI Fund Distinguished Fellowship program\, Professor Uljarevic will share insights into the development of a new generation of assessment tools designed to support screening\, characterisation and intervention matching across both clinical and research contexts. The session will explore how advances in data and assessment approaches can inform more personalised and effective pathways for children with autism and related neurodevelopmental conditions\, with implications for both health services and research. \nParticipation is encouraged either in person or online. This event will be delivered as a hybrid session\, with opportunities for both in‑room and virtual engagement.
