DESCRIPTION:Dear Curtin Ignition Alumni\, Sponsors and Supporters\, \nYou’re invited to tune in to our interactive livestream\, where we will be launching the applications for our 2022 Curtin Ignition Program. \nWe will be joined by special guest speaker Glen McIvor who will be sharing his journey of starting injuryConnect in 2009 before later renaming to Solv. Solv was a Perth based company that developed\, sold\, and supported a suite on online health\, safety\, and injury management solutions before being acquired by a US company in 2021. \nWe will also hear from a small selection of Ignition alumni who will share some of their achievements and stories since graduating from Ignition. \nThe Ignition program is part of the Curtin entrepreneurship pathway and has helped over 600 founders along their entrepreneurial journey.

DESCRIPTION:Applications for the 2022 program opened on Tuesday 3 May at 9am AWST and will close on Tuesday 31 May at 11am AWST. Applications must be made online and no late submissions can be accepted. \nThe Western Australian Government is committed to raising the profile of innovation in WA and supporting the delivery of government initiatives to advance the growth of our innovation-based industries. \nThe WA IOTY program has showcased innovative and entrepreneurial individuals\, businesses and creative minds since 2006. The program has benefited many of those who have participated\, as well as the broader community of WA. \nThe program is a valuable initiative\, which provides support to innovators and entrepreneurs across WA. \nIn accordance with the New Industries Fund\, the objectives of the IOTY program are to: \n– promote and acknowledge the success of Western Australian innovators;\n– encourage co-support from industry for promotional activities;\n– activate and strengthen industry-government research collaborations;\n– engage communities throughout Western Australian regions in innovation; and\n– promote job creation and economic diversification in Western Australia. \nYou can follow the WA IOTY program using the hashtag #WAIOTY and on Twitter @WA_IOTY.
