DESCRIPTION:The session will include an introductory workshop on entrepreneurship as well as information session about the FUTURE FOUNDERS Youth Entrepreneurship Scholarships. \n\nFUTURE FOUNDERS – Youth Entrepreneurship Scholarships\n \nDo you have an awesome idea for a new product or service and need to know best next step? 🧠 \nPerhaps you have a startup business and want to know how to growth hack it to take it to the next level? 🚀 \nMaybe you working in a business and have innovative ideas to change things up for the better? 🎯 \nThe FUTURE FOUNDERS Youth Entrepreneurship Scholarship was created just for you! \nThe Scholarship program will equip you with the tools and tips needed to build your dream into reality\, providing experts to guide you and hands-on experiences. \n🌟 We are offering 10 scholarships to City of Busselton locals aged 16-25\, and we’re eager to hear from you\, regardless of what stage you are at! 🌟 \nThose selected for full Scholarship program will receive $5000 worth of training plus a $1000 completion bursary to support your startup business costs or other professional development activities. \nHow do I apply? \n1st step: Book your free spot in this event. \n2nd step: After the session fill out an Expression of Interest form to be in the running to receive a Scholarship. \nFUTURE FOUNDERS fosters the growth of the business community and assists in developing entrepreneurship in our youth. It is facilitated by Natasha Teakle\, Innovation Cluster’s Managing Director and experienced trainer in business strategy\, commercialisation and innovation. Tash holds several board advisory and volunteer roles including with Busselton Jetty Inc.\, Carbon Conscious Investments\, South West Angels\, and has been on the judging panel for the WA Innovator of the Year awards since 2015. FUTURE FOUNDERS is made possible by sponsors Department of Jobs\, Tourism\, Science and Innovation through the New Industries Fund – X-Tend WA Program\, supported by the City of Busselton Youth Team\, South West Angels\, South West Development Commission\,  Rio Tinto and facilitated by Innovation Cluster.

DESCRIPTION:National Science Week Grants 2024\nThe National Science Week Grants 2024 provide individuals and organisations with up to $20\,000 to support the delivery of science engagement activities during National Science Week 2024\, Australia’s major national celebration of science.\n\n\n\nWhat do you get?\nGrants of between $2\,000 and $20\,000 for community participation in National Science Week 2024 activities. \nWho is this for?\nIndividuals and organisations. \n\n\n\n\nOverview\n\nNational Science Week is Australia’s major national celebration of the sciences\, occurring in August each year. National Science Week will be held from 10 to 18 August 2024. National Science Week provides the opportunity for community participation in high profile science engagement activities across the nation. \nThe objectives of the grant opportunity are to: \n\ninspire wide community participation in STEM\nprovide an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of Australian scientists to the world of knowledge\nencourage an interest in science pursuits among the general public\nencourage younger people to become fascinated by the world we live in\nencourage new and innovative ways of engaging with audiences.\n\nThe intended outcomes of the grant opportunity are to: \n\nincrease national and international interest in Australian science\nimprove critical engagement with key scientific issues by the public\nincrease inspiration drawn from science and improve the value of science as perceived by the public.\n\nThe grant amount will be up to 100 per cent of eligible project expenditure (grant percentage). \n\nThe minimum grant amount is $2\,000.\nThe maximum grant amount is $20\,000.\n\nWe will only award applications of exceptional merit the maximum grant amount of $20\,000.
