As digital transformation accelerates and systems become more autonomous and interconnected\, the consequences of a PNT failure multiply risking blackouts\, communication loss\, navigation failures\, and financial disruption. \nThe SHIELD CRC can change this: Together we can build a sovereign\, resilient\, and secure PNT ecosystem for Australia – one that detects threats\, withstands interference\, and recovers quickly so that business continuity\, public safety and economic stability are not left vulnerable to forces beyond our control. \nThe outputs of the CRC will improve productivity and business continuity\, simulate new industry growth and strengthen sovereignty national security. \n

DESCRIPTION:Helping Western Australian businesses enhance their ability to supply products or services to the defence industry.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Defence Ready Initiative provides funding support to Western Australian small to medium enterprises (SMEs) that operate in the defence sector to enhance their business capability\, capacity and competitiveness to participate as suppliers of products\, services and works to the Defence market. \nDefence Ready Initiative funding can be used for activities such as: \n\nmaking improvements to internal infrastructure\, plant and equipment\nmeeting pre-qualification requirements for supply-chain entry\nengaging consultants for planning and business advice on matters including\, strategic\, marketing\, finance and tender submission advice\nimprovements to internal business infrastructure and systems including\, cyber security\, production systems\, and implementation and certification of national and international standards.\ntraining and upskilling of employees.\n\nThe level of funding support under the Defence Ready Initiative is 50% of eligible activity costs (excluding GST) up to a maximum funding level of $20\,000 per successful applicant.
