Science on the Swan Conference
8 May 2023 @ 8:00 am - 10 May 2023 @ 5:00 pm AWST
$25 – $539In this conference we will highlight the key emerging strategic research strategies and partnerships underpinning and influencing the Western Australian medical health and research sector.
One of our partnerships is with the Future Health Research and Innovation Fund, FHRI, which is the key mechanism by which the State Government funds health and medical research. This year SOTS 2023 will focus on the FHRI themes of Aboriginal and rural health, Burden of disease, COVID and long COVID, and Mental health. We will also feature some of the state-wide initiatives that WAHTN has been enabling, including Women’s Health Research, Mental Health Research and our nationally recognised Consumer and Community Involvement in research Program.
We welcome submission of abstracts from junior to senior health and medical researchers, consumers, policy makers and funders. In addition to being a forum for the presentation and discussion of the outstanding health and medical research being carried out across the State we will also have a number of national and international speakers and of course the conference provides an ideal opportunity to socialise, forge future collaborations and make friends.
The Conference will be from Monday 8 May 2023 – Wednesday 10 May 2023 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
