SUMMARY:For Purpose Leaders Aged Care Sustainability Breakfast
DESCRIPTION:Join senior leaders for this critical conversation on Aged care sustainability\, pricing pressures\, and way forward\, LIVE streamed nationally\n\n\n\nATTEND Online or In-Person \nThe Aged Care Sustainability Breakfast is a focused policy conversation\, not a broad industry showcase\, bringing together the people shaping and responding to reform: providers\, financial analysts\, peak bodies and government representatives. The agenda is deliberately narrow: sustainability\, pricing\, and what needs to happen before the next Federal Budget. \nWith sector pre-budget submissions due in the coming months and key funding milestones landing from March 2027\, this breakfast is timed to sharpen the sector’s ask\, and put it in front of the people who can act on it.

SUMMARY:Antler AMA | Frontier Tech | What Investors Look For in Hardware Founders [online]
DESCRIPTION:Building in defence\, space\, robotics\, compute\, hardware or any other frontier vertical? \nJoin James McClure\, Partner at Antler Australia\, and Ani Goswami\, Founder of Oscorp Energy\, for an open Q&A on what it takes to back\, and to build\, a hardware company. If you’re looking for your first cheque\, they’ll share their views on what investors look for in hardware\, from both sides of the table: what makes a team backable at day zero\, how to prove the hard parts early\, and how to raise when the product takes years\, not months\, to build. \nOscorp Energy builds intelligent machines that autonomously sort used batteries so they can be safely recycled\, giving recyclers and MRFs the confidence to accept batteries without fear of fires\, contamination or costly disruptions. \nBring your toughest questions on: \n\n\nWhat investors want to see before backing a hardware startup \n\n\nHow Ani went from a hard problem to a company\, and what he’d do differently \n\n\nLong build cycles\, procurement and capital intensity \n\n\nFinding a co-founder with the skills you’re missing \n\n\nWhether you need a working prototype\, or just a strong idea and the right team \n\n\nAntler is a global early-stage VC\, not an accelerator. We invest at inception\, so founders can go further\, faster. Applications for the next Antler Australia residency (kicking off Feb 8\, 2027 in Sydney\, Melbourne and Brisbane) are open here.

SUMMARY:ACS Webinar - Sustainable Data Centres in the Age of AI
DESCRIPTION:This interactive event will examine how Australia\, and Western Australia in particular\, can capture the economic benefits of AI infrastructure while ensuring that data-centre growth is environmentally\, economically and socially sustainable.\nArtificial intelligence is reshaping the economics and infrastructure requirements of the digital economy\, driving rapid growth in demand for high-performance computing and data-centre capacity. This growth creates a significant sustainability challenge: data centres are energy-intensive\, increasingly concentrated in areas with constrained electricity networks\, and can place substantial demands on water\, land and other infrastructure. At the same time\, they represent a major opportunity for investment\, employment\, innovation and the acceleration of renewable-energy development. Australia attracted approximately $10 billion in data-centre investment during 2024\, while national electricity demand from data centres is expected to increase materially as AI adoption accelerates. \nThis interactive event will examine how Australia—and Western Australia in particular—can capture the economic benefits of AI infrastructure while ensuring that data-centre growth is environmentally\, economically and socially sustainable. Moreover\, the event will consider innovation opportunities in the sustainable development of green data centres with the potential to support Western Australia’s transition to renewable energy. \nLeading experts from industry\, government\, and academia will present the opportunities and issues.  Following the presentations\, participants will unpack hypothetical case study scenarios before reporting back to the group in a dynamic interactive session. \nMoreover\, the event will consider innovation opportunities in the sustainable development of green data centres with the potential to support Western Australia’s transition to renewable energy.
