OPENS: Collaborative Research Grant

The Western Australia Defence Science Centre – an initiative of the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation – has opened its latest round of Collaborative Research Grants.
This opportunity encourages academic-industry collaboration to develop defence-related industries in Western Australia.
Up to $150,000 in funding is available for collaborations between universities, industry and government, which includes one-or-more researchers from Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University or The University of Western Australia.
To be eligible, projects must address one of more of the following themes:
– Maritime maintenance/sustainment
– Integrated intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance
– Space capabilities
– Enhanced human performance
– Medical countermeasure products
– Multi-disciplinary material sciences
– Quantum technologies
– Trusted autonomous systems
– Cyber
– Advanced sensors, hypersonics and directed energy capabilities
Not sure if your idea is applicable? Submit a 300-word abstract before 14 March 2022 for feedback and guidance from Defence Science Centre to assist development of your grant application.
The Collaborative Research Grant is accepting applications until 19 April 2022
