SUMMARY:Supercharge your Startup
DESCRIPTION:Details\n\n\nEntrepreneurship is not always a smooth path\, and setbacks and failures are an inevitable part of the journey. But what separates successful entrepreneurs from the rest is their ability to fail forward – to learn from setbacks and use those lessons to grow and thrive. As Henry Ford once said ‘The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.’ \nIn this talk\, we will explore practical strategies for overcoming adversity and turning failures into opportunities. By tapping into elements of an entrepreneurial mindset\, we’ll look at some coaching techniques to help you stay energised. Finally\, drawing on real-life examples and insights from experienced entrepreneurs\, you will learn how to build resilience\, embrace failure\, and use setbacks as a stepping stone to success. \nWhether you’re a seasoned founder or just starting out\, this talk will equip you with the tools and mindset you need to navigate the ups and downs of entrepreneurship. \nLive stream \nThis event will also be live streamed for the regions courtesy of the New Industries Fund from the Department of Jobs\, Tourism\, Science and Innovation! \nWhen the time comes\, you can watch the live stream here:\nhttps://perthvideo.com.au/morning-startup-perth/ \nNote – You do NOT need to RSVP to this meetup to watch the live stream. Only click “I’m going” if you’re attending in person. \nIf you’re in Perth\, it’s always better to attend in person as that’s where the magic of Morning Startup happens! Come and network with other startup folks – you never know who you’ll meet! See you there!

These grants encourage small to medium enterprises to market and promote their goods and services globally. \nAbout the program\nWe administer the government’s EMDG program. Since 1974\, EMDG has assisted more than 51\,000 unique small and medium size Australian businesses (SME) promote and market their products and services to over 180 countries world-wide. Most of those SMEs received multiple grants across the years for up to 8 years. \nEMDG is an eligibility-based\, demand-driven program. This means all eligible applicants receive a grant from the available funds. We do not base grants on the maximum grant tier caps. The grant amount depends on the: \n\nnumber of eligible applications in the round (referred to as demand)\navailable program budget shared among all eligible applicants.\n\nTypes of grants for exporters\nGrants are for eligible promotional activities undertaken by small to medium sized exporters and representative bodies. Small to medium enterprise (SME) exporters can apply for grants over 8 years in total (not necessarily consecutively). Representative bodies have no maximum grant years. Grants for businesses are available in 3 tiers with each providing a different level of support for SMEs as they grow their export markets. The tiers are: \n\nReady to export\nExporting and expanding\nExporting\, expanding and strategic shift.\n\nBusinesses don’t have to start at Tier 1 and progress to Tier 2 and 3. They can apply for any grant tier at any time depending on the business need. \nThe lengths of these grants reflect the different stages of an exporter’s journey. \nGrant agreement terms are offered in each round subject to: \n\nthe availability of funds\nthe maximum allowable grant term for the relevant tier under the EMDG Rules\n\nBusinesses can still access EMDG grants for up to 8 years. \nRead more about the 3 tiers and grants for representative bodies. \nHow to get a grant\nThe EMDG program bases criteria on eligibility\, not competition. All eligible applicants receive a grant. The process is as follows: \n\nApply for a grant for eligible promotional activities you plan to undertake.\nAfter all applications are considered\, Austrade offers a grant agreement to each eligible applicant.\nIf you agree\, you enter into a grant agreement with Austrade. Grant agreements will clarify the maximum funding amounts per financial year over the term of your grant agreement.\nYou lodge a milestone report to request milestone payments as per your grant agreement. Your grant agreement will state:\n\n\nwhen we make your milestone payments\nwhat you need to do to get these payments.\n\nWhen we make grant payments\nWe set the timing of payments by your grant agreement. Your grant agreement will state when you should provide your milestone report. \nHow we distribute funds\nEMDG is an eligibility based\, demand driven program. This means all eligible applicants will receive a grant from the available funds. Austrade will calculate how much funding will be given to all eligible applications based on the demand in that round. Each eligible applicant will receive a grant agreement with the grant amount approved. \nYou must match the dollar value of the grant monies you receive (this means you must spend double the grant amount to receive the grant).
