SUMMARY:DEADLINE: Co-Funding Partnerships Program
DESCRIPTION:The Co-Funding Partnerships Program (Co-FPP) is a Program of the Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Fund. \nThe purpose of the Co-FPP is to establish collaborations and funding partnerships to bring genuinely new non-government funding or maximise the impact of existing charitable funding for health and medical research and innovation in WA\, and to build a culture that supports co-operation and interconnectedness. \nAdvantages of partnering with the FHRI Fund\, which is administered by the Department of Health\, include: \n\nLeveraged funding in a shared area of interest\, increasing impact.\nReputational benefits of being involved in Programs supported by the FHRI Fund\, which is the State’s premier and legislated vehicle to support health and medical research and innovation.\nPromotional opportunities to publicise co-funded Programs\, including through Ministerial media statements\, the FHRI Fund website and extensive stakeholder distribution channels.\nAccess to expert personnel to design bespoke funding programs that are transparent and competitive\, or choose from tried and tested FHRI Fund programs tailored for the co-funded Program or Initiative.\nBest-practice application review processes\, including access to expert reviewers drawn from an extensive database including consumers\, clinicians\, academics and private industry.\nUnparalleled cross-sector reach\, including into hospitals\, universities\, research institutes and industry to ensure high-quality applications are received.\nRobust grant award and management processes\, ensuring co-funding is spent appropriately.\nEmbedded evaluation\, so that the benefits of the co-funding are tracked.\n\nUpdate applying to the Co-FPP from the March 2023 funding cycle\nThe Co-FPP now has two streams: \n\nStream A is open to all eligible entities who will contribute genuinely new funding to establish a new co-funded program.\nStream B is for co-funding of an existing successful WA funding program and is open only to active charitable organisations listed on the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission register.\n\nFurther information about the Co-FPP is provided below. If you would like to speak to someone\, please email the Office of Medical Research and Innovation and a team member will get in touch with you. \nEligibility\nCo-FPP applications may be made by an individual or an organisation. Partnerships will only be formed where the proposed use of partnership funds aligns with at least one of the Priority Goals and at least one of the Focus Areas. \nApplication process\nSelection of co-funding partners will be through a two-step process: \n\nPotential partners submit an online expression of interest (EOI)\nIf their EOI is found to be eligible and appropriate\, the potential partner will be invited to submit a Proposal to Partner form.\n\nThe Office of Medical Research and Innovation will work with potential partners to guide them through the above steps. \nProposals to Partner will be reviewed by a suitably experienced panel and\, if successful\, the partner and the Office of Medical Research and Innovation will work together to design the new co-funded program. \nFunding\nCo-FPP proposals may request contributions from the FHRI Fund of between $500\,000 and $1\,000\,000 per annum per proposal and the FHRI Fund contribution must be at least matched in cash by the Funding Partner. The co-funded Program cannot be ongoing. \nThe co-funded Program\nCo-funded Programs could\, for example\, provide funding for fellowships\, research projects\, innovation activities or infrastructure. The Office of Medical Research and Innovation will work with partners to determine a co-funded Program that suits the partner and the FHRI Fund. \nAward of funding through the co-funded Program will be through open\, competitive and transparent processes\, with guidelines and conditions for applicants. \nHow to apply\nProspective Funding Partners may submit an expression of interest (EOI) form to co-fund a FHRI Fund Program or Initiative at any time. However\, expressions of interest and proposals to partner received in the final month of a FHRI Fund 4-monthly Funding Program cycle will be considered after the next funding cycle commences. The Funding Program cycles commence at the start of March\, July and November each year. \nAn electronic EOI form may be requested by emailing the Office of Medical Research and Innovation

Whether it’s a simple social outing you are looking forward to\, or you are seeking high quality connections\, we aim to provide engaging opportunities for you to receive support and inspiration. \nBook your place now as we have limited numbers of tickets available due to venue capacity. \nWe understand that unexpected life events can result in a change of plans\, so if you book and then find yourself unable to attend\, please contact us immediately so that we can offer your place to another lady from our waitlist. \nWe look forward to meeting you at our next Monthly Meetup!\n\nMORE ABOUT BWC \nThe Business Women’s Collective is an initiative that started early in 2023 when a small group of dynamic business women got together on a semi regular basis over coffee and realised how valuable these catchups were in providing support. They wondered whether this casual meeting format would be of value to other women in their community and the first Monthly Meetup was hosted in June of 2023. This event was a success and the feedback was very positive\, so the “founders” decided on some group roles and a regular format was developed with meetups being hosted each month through the remainder of the year. \nWe are extremely grateful to our BWC “Champions” who provide their time\, expertise and skills voluntarily\, to ensure that everyone in our growing community is warmly welcomed and supported. \nThe BWC Team of Champions are a humble group\, but always worthy of a mention!\n🌼 Veronica Smith (Lead Facilitator)\n🌼 Kelly Winrow\n🌼 Sue Daley\n🌼 Kelly King\n🌼 Chloe Esakoff

SUMMARY:Bunuru Social Impact Summit
DESCRIPTION:Bunuru Social Impact Summit 2024\nCulture: Survival\, Resilience\, Strength & Celebration \nWednesday 13 March 2024\n6 am – 6 pm Poolgarla Parkland\, Kaarta Koomba\, Kings Park \nThe Bunuru Social Impact Summit is the pinnacle of the Festival. The previous Summits have inspired large-scale systems change\, designed to help us all become better carers of everything through shifting cultural\, social\, environmental and economic outcomes. \nThe Bunuru Social Impact Summit will bring together diverse thought leaders\, change-makers\, artists\, and innovators from across Western Australia. They will present their unique perspectives\, experiences\, and insights to explore how Aboriginal culture has\, since colonialism\, gone from surviving to thriving. \nFor 2024\, our theme is Culture: Survival\, Resilience\, Strength & Celebration. 2024 also marks five years since the inception of Danjoo Koorliny\, the halfway point of a 10-year journey towards the 2029 bicentenary. \nThe Summit is a celebration of Aboriginal culture\, values\, and achievements. The conversations will be culturally affirming and will challenge the status quo. New ways to address social\, economic\, and environmental challenges will be found while building and strengthening how Aboriginal people want to be represented\, both now and beyond Danjoo Koorliny’s 2029 vision. \nOur celebration will feature a series of engaging and diverse speaker sessions\, cultural workshops and experiences\, panel discussions\, performances and inspiring keynote presentations. It will focus on a wide range of cultural themes and community-led activities for everyone to participate in as we continue our journey to drive change for future generations. \nThe Bunuru Summit will be held at the beautiful Poolgarla Parkland\, Kings Park. We have some exciting add-ons like Bush Tucker / Talks & Tasting by Dale Tilbrook\, Bush Medicine with Vivienne Hansen and Male & Female Cultural Walking Tours. \nBoordawan
