SUMMARY:Successful technology innovation – a how-to guide
DESCRIPTION:Taking an idea through to commercial reality is something that a great many innovators and companies grapple with\, and unfortunately not everyone gets it right and succeeds in their quest.  Come join us at our next event and hear from someone who has successfully developed numerous innovative products\, and who has also devised an innovation process to help guide innovators through the journey.\n\nSuccessful technology innovation – a how-to guide. \nAssociate Professor Andrew Guzzomi (Director of CEI:AgER at UWA) is a two-time winner of the WA Innovator of the Year Award – first in 2016 with the Seed Flamer technology and then again in 2019 with the agricultural Weed Chipper solution.  In 2018 he was awarded both a Tall Poppy Award and a 40Under40 Award for forging UWA’s agricultural engineering research strength\, and he currently leads the engineering research and development of a number of research directions relating to agriculture and ecological restoration. \nAndrew is very passionate about innovative design insights and approaches and has devised an innovation process which can be applied to help guide most innovation endeavours.  He promises to share some valuable insights about what was involved in taking his innovations forward\, including some of the challenges he faced and certain things he may have done differently with the benefit of hindsight\, and otherwise promises an entertaining session which will appeal to anyone in the technology innovation space.
