NCRI provides funding through multiple streams to establish and extend infrastructure (facilities\, equipment\, systems and services) of critical importance that will be used to conduct world-class health and medical research. \nWithin the NCRI innovation enablers stream\, this grant opportunity will provide grants of financial assistance to support Australian medical research and innovation projects that: \n\nStream 1: address an area of unmet medical need by promoting the development and implementation of adaptive platform trials. DESCRIPTION:The Council of Grain Grower Organisations Limited (COGGO) in Western Australia established the ‘COGGO Research Fund’ to invest in innovative research and development projects to the benefit of the WA grains industry. COGGO’s annual Research Fund investment in R&D plays a major role in assisting WA to maintain its market competitiveness and viability in the grains industry. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProjects can target any part of the WA grain supply chain which benefits WA grain growers. It now has 244 life science companies which has doubled in the last six years. \nSuccessful technologies that were seeded in Perth include Sirtex Medical (sold to China Grand Pharmaceutical in 2018 for $1.9 billion)\, the ADAPT tissue processing technology that has been implanted in over 35\,000 patients from Anteris Technologies\, and three drugs (for Duchenne muscular dystrophy) that were discovered at the Perron Institute and licensed to Sarepta Therapeutics and subsequently approved by the FDA. \nOur Event Partner for the Summit is the WA Government and our Destination Sponsor is Business Events Perth.
