The Young Mining Professionals Perth (YMP Perth) are pleased to present a panel of innovative speakers for our second event of the year; a networking seminar exploring the applications of new technology in resource extraction supporting fresh mining methods all the way from drill and blast to delivering a final product through mineral processing.

Details: Continued pressure to deliver economic extraction of lower quality orebodies, combined with increasing waves of technological improvement, have led operators to explore more creative ways of minimising costs and increasing efficiency. Projects and orebodies once thought impossible to mine economically are finding new support through hard earnt advancements in technology supporting resource extraction.

The evening will feature a relaxed panel discussion, during which our speakers will present case studies related to different technical improvements that support “fresh” mining and processing methods and the practical application of those technologies in their operations and for their clients. Our panellists will then take questions about their technologies, their experiences and the common challenges encountered in adopting and implementing step changes in technology in the mining and resources industry.
