Applications for ARC Industrial Transformation Research Program for funding commencing in 2026 are now open in the and will close at on Wednesday 26 November 2025.

The Industrial Transformation Research Hubs scheme engages Australia’s best researchers to partner with industry in priority areas for Australia. The Industrial Transformation Research Hubs are focussed on issues facing industry.

The scheme provides between $500,000 and $1 million per year for 3 to 5 years.

The Research Hubs scheme objectives are to:

support collaborative research projects between universities and organisations outside the Australian higher education sector that involve cutting-edge research on new technologies; and
leverage national and international investment in targeted industry sectors, including from industry and other research end-users.

An application may only be submitted through the Research Office of an Eligible Organisation listed in the Grant Guidelines. The application must:

directly address one or more of the current Industrial Transformation Priorities;
- Renewables and low emissions technologies
- Medical science*
- Transport
- Value-add in the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors
- Value-add in resources
- Defence capability
- Enabling capabilities.
nominate at least one Australian Partner Organisation.
