DEADLINE: CERI Customer Development Masterclass

Over 11 weeks, the Customer Development Masterclass will teach you the essentials of validating your customer problem/solution fit, developing and adjusting your business model and launching your business in the real world. You and your team will be in the driver’s seat for growing your business, with the ultimate tools and expertise at your fingertips through the CDM program. Taking place each Wednesday evening from 5pm – 7.30pm, CDM is your toolkit for customer growth.

Facilitated by Andy Lamb, the Customer Development Masterclass consists of weekly sessions with extensive content delivery and real-world, customer engagement deliverables. Throughout the 10 weeks, participants will need to get out of the building and speak to customers – putting in an additional half day per week of time.
Over the course of the program, you will be engaged in:
  • Week 1 – Unique Value Proposition exploration.
  • Week 2 – Customer Discovery – tools and techniques.
  • Week 3 – Gathering Assumptions – removing biases.
  • Week 4 – Building Evidence – metrics for customer validation.
  • Week 5 – Getting customers to act – unlocking early adopters.
  • Week 6 – Recap and reset – what have your learnt and what is next?
  • Week 7 – Expanding Eco-Systems – do you need to shift your focus?
  • Week 8 – Business Model – shaping the right fit.
  • Week 9 – Business Planning – Finance/ Funding/ Cash Flows.
  • Week 10 – Founders Sales 101- flipping the sales model for traction.
  • Week 11 – Wrap Up & Showcase.’

Outcomes

  • Move away from a process of leading with the solution to understand the customers problem and how your solution can solve these problems.
  • Recognising where your own biases may be preventing you from moving your project forward.
  • Apply an experimental approach to testing and validating your early adopters and getting customer traction as soon as possible.
  • Removing the fear of selling by flipping the sales process, from a push (outwards) approach to a pull (inwards) approach tied to solving customers problems.
  • Shaping an appropriate business model which is aligned to your current project lifecycle.
