SUMMARY:2026 WA-Asia Business Forum: WA's Role in Asia's Energy Transition and Economic Future
DESCRIPTION:The WA-Asia Business Forum 2026 is a flagship event of the Western Australian Chinese Chamber of Commerce (WACCC). Held on Tuesday\, 4 August 2026 at Crown Perth\, the Forum convenes senior leaders from industry\, government\, and the international business community for a day of high-level discussion on the trade and investment relationship that continues to define Western Australia’s economic future: its engagement with Asia.\nThis year’s Forum is themed “WA’s Role in Asia’s Energy Transition and Economic Future”\, with the program anchored around two of the State’s most strategically significant sectors of engagement with the region: Mining and Energy. Both sit at the centre of the State Government’s Diversify WA priority framework\, and together they underpin Western Australia’s long-term commercial relationship with the Asia-Pacific. The program will examine the investment landscape across both sectors\, the government-to-government relationships that enable long-term supply agreements\, and the role of technology and artificial intelligence in reshaping how the State’s resources reach the region. \nThe Forum is where the conversations that shape Western Australia’s next decade of Asia-Pacific engagement take place. Its program combines keynote and panel discussions with structured networking\, giving delegates direct access to the industry and policy figures shaping these sectors. \nSince 1987\, WACCC has served as Western Australia’s longest-standing bridge between the State’s business community and Asia. The 2026 Forum is where that bridge continues to be built.

SUMMARY:Content marketing in the age of AI search
DESCRIPTION:Everyone wants the AI search playbook so their business appears when a prospect asks ChatGPT or Claude for a recommendation. But you can’t game your way to success in AI search. It relies on good SEO and on content structured so AI can use it. It rewards businesses that have already done the fundamental work of content marketing. Skip that work\, and no amount of “AI optimisation” will save you. This talk connects two things most startups treat separately: content marketing and getting discovered by AI. \nDrawing on content work she started 30 years ago and five businesses built on organic content\, Sarah Mitchell lays out the three-part strategy that makes visibility possible and shows what happens when you drop one. She’ll cover the mistakes she’s made and watched others make\, from chasing clicks\, to optimising for traffic instead of conversions\, to the most common trap of all: “post and hope.” She’ll share real examples of WA companies winning ground by structuring their content for AI\, in industries as diverse as manufacturing and aged care.
