She helped enable the effective communication between techies and biologists\, and in the Vaccine Task Force explaining immunology and virology to civil servants and ministers who may not have done any science since they were 15 years old. \nTo achieve anything you have to find ways of overcoming the barrier of complexity\, which Kate will explore through a seminar followed by a fireside chat (Q&A encouraged) with WA Life Sciences Innovation Hub’s Director of Stakeholder Engagement Dr Tracey Wilkinson.

SUMMARY:Scaling Your Company to the UK
DESCRIPTION:The UK is the 5th largest economy in the world and with the cultural synergies it’s a great market for WA startups to consider scaling to. \nHowever – while the language is the same\, some translation is needed to understand some of the nuances in the approach to UK business. Oury Clark have been helping Australian companies scale to the UK for over 10 years with everything from legal and tax structuring\, to accounting\, recruitment and HR. \nBased on this experience\, this session will give you a starting point to help make your UK market entry a success. \nOury Clark supported Spacecubed and Purpose Ventures on their recent Plus Eight trip to London and did an excellent session on this very topic. As the team are coming to Perth\, we thought it would be a great opportunity to run a similar session for those in the WA startup ecosystem.
