DESCRIPTION:The Australian Medical Research Advisory Board (AMRAB) is inviting feedback on the draft Australian Medical Research and Innovation Strategy 2026-2031 and draft Australian Medical Research and Innovation Priorities 2026-2028. Feedback will help inform AMRAB’s advice to Government on the future direction of investment through the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF). This consultation provides an opportunity for researchers\, health professionals\, consumers\, community organisations\, industry representatives and members of the public to share their views on the future of health and medical research in Australia. \nWhat you will learn \n\nThe purpose of the consultation and the role of the MRFF.\nThe key elements of the draft MRFF Strategy and Priorities.\nThe factors and considerations that have informed the development of the draft Strategy and Priorities.\nHow to provide feedback through the public consultation process.\n\nThe session will also include time for questions and answers. Whether you work in research\, health care\, policy\, industry or community advocacy\, or have an interest in health and medical research\, your views are important. Feedback received through the consultation will help inform AMRAB’s advice on future MRFF investment. \nPresenters will include Professor Kathryn North AC\, AMRAB Chair; Professor Ken Smith\, AMRAB Deputy Chair; and staff from the Health and Medical Research Office (HMRO).
