DESCRIPTION:The Grid Enhancing Technologies program provides businesses with up to $5 million in competitive grant funding to accelerate the uptake and deployment of grid enhancing technologies on Australia’s electricity networks.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat do you get?\nA grant of up to $5 million to cover up to 100% of eligible expenditure. \nWho is this for?\nEligible entities seeking to deliver benefits for Australian energy consumers by accelerating the development\, trialling and application of grid enhancing technologies in electricity networks. \n\n\nAbout the program\n\nThe Grid Enhancing Technologies program aims to accelerate the development\, trialling and application of grid enhancing technologies\, to maximise capacity and utilisation of existing infrastructure in Australian electricity networks. This program is a part of the Department of Climate Change\, Energy\, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW)’s goal to deliver secure\, reliable and affordable energy to consumers. \nThe program aims to achieve its objectives by: \n\ndemonstrating and testing the effectiveness of grid enhancing technologies being applied to Australian electricity networks\nidentifying costs and benefits of key technologies and pathways for wider application in Australian electricity networks.

SUMMARY:DEADLINE: AEA Innovate Grant EOIs
DESCRIPTION:AEA Innovate provides funding for projects at TRL 5 to 7\, and up to $5 million per grant for up to 2 years. \nInnovate grants support mid-stage research commercialisation through competitive grants of up to $5 million for a maximum period of 24 months. \nThese grants are available for researchers at Australian universities to collaborate with industry to advance projects that already have laboratory proof-of-concept. \nGrant recipients are expected to be able to increase the technology and commercial readiness of their innovation to reach proof-of-scale. This includes developing and testing prototypes or pilots for new products\, processes or software in an industry-relevant environment. \nThe eight focus areas are: \n\ncritical and strategic minerals processing\nsustainable fuels\nagriculture and food technology\nquantum\nartificial intelligence (AI)\nadvanced manufacturing\nspace\nrenewable energy.\n\nThe closing date for Expressions of Interest is 5:00pm AEST Friday 29 August 2025.
