SUMMARY:DEADLINE: Climate-Smart Agriculture Program
DESCRIPTION:The Australian Government is inviting organisations via an Open competitive process to apply to deliver projects under the Climate-Smart Agriculture Program – Small Grants Round 1. \nSmall Grants are for small-scale projects at the grassroots and community level that will support farmers and land holders to adopt sustainable agriculture best practices\, as well as facilitate and implement practice change. The grants will improve management of our natural resources and increase sustainable on-farm productivity and resilience to climate change. \nThe grants allow for a wide range of projects and initiatives\, providing opportunities for information delivery and extension as well as scaling up of existing local initiatives. New or innovative\, as well as tried and tested\, climate-smart\, sustainable agricultural practices are in scope. \nIntended outcomes: \n\nOutcome 1: Farmers\, land holders and community groups have increased knowledge and skills in implementing best practice\, locally applicable\, climate-smart\, sustainable agriculture approaches\, including practices that conserve natural capital and biodiversity.\n\n\nOutcome 2: There is an increase in the number of farmers\, land holders and/or communities that have adopted climate-smart\, sustainable agriculture practices.\n\nThe grant opportunity will also focus on strengthening First Nations engagement and participation in climate-smart\, sustainable agriculture projects and initiatives.

SUMMARY:DEADLINE: Clean Energy Future Fund
DESCRIPTION:The Clean Energy Future Fund supports the implementation of innovative clean energy projects in Western Australia that offer high public value through the following outcomes: \n\nsignificant\, cost-effective reduction in greenhouse gas emissions below projected (or baseline) emissions as a direct result of the clean energy project\ndesign\, deployment\, testing or demonstration of innovative clean energy projects likely to deliver community benefits or lead to broad adoption and significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.\n\nAs part of the Sectoral emissions reduction strategy released in December 2023\, the State Government is investing an additional $18 million to 2030‒31 ($11.2 million to 2026‒27) to expand the Clean Energy Future Fund\, to support trials and implementation of new technologies necessary for Western Australia’s net zero transition. \nThe Clean Energy Future Fund was first launched in 2020 and is administered by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation with support from Energy Policy WA.
