DESCRIPTION:This program provides agriculture\, food and beverage businesses with funding to help them implement capital investment projects to expand\, diversify or relocate their value adding and processing operations in Western Australia.\n\n\n\n\nWhat do you get?\nMatched funding between $500\,000 and $1 million. \nWho is this for?\nAgriculture\, food and beverage businesses. \n\n\n\nThis stream provides funding for new investment or the bringing forward of planned investment projects in existing businesses that involve value adding post harvest or production. This includes activities that transform WA primary production from its original or raw form (i.e. commodities) into a state which is perceived as more valuable to the end consumer. \nFunded activities can include investments: \n\nin new manufacturing capability or processing facilities\, new technology or plant modernisation which reduces WA’s reliance on imported products\nthat improve sustainability and reduce the environmental impact of the manufacturing or processing activities\nthat enable expansion or diversification of business operations in relation to value adding.\n\nFunding is also available to businesses looking to relocate operations to\, or expand existing operations in WA.

DESCRIPTION:Industry and academia are invited to respond to a request for proposals (RFP) for the Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator’s first AUKUS Innovation Challenge in Electronic Warfare. \nThe AUKUS innovation challenges will seek solutions to shared problems across Australia\, the United Kingdom and United States. The government innovation programs of each nation will conduct this inaugural challenge simultaneously. \nThis challenge will focus on Defence’s ability to leverage electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) technologies and capabilities that provide a competitive advantage to electromagnetic targeting\, and those that protect Defence from adversary electromagnetic targeting capabilities. \nThe 6 key elements of the targeting cycle that Defence is interested in improving through development and transition of innovative technologies are: \n\nfind: identify a target using the EMS\nfix: identify a target’s location using the EMS\ntrack: monitor a target’s movement using the EMS\ntarget: select and apply appropriate EMS assets and/or EMS enabled weapon systems\nengage: apply EMS assets and enabled weapons to a target\nassess: evaluate effects of an attack using the EMS.\n\nFurther details of the AUKUS Electronic Warfare Innovation Challenge RFP is available on the AusTender website.

DESCRIPTION:The AICCTP 2023-24 grant opportunity (Round 4) will support a collaborative model where Australian and Indian stakeholders combine knowledge and resources to advance and protect our collective interests in cyberspace and critical technology. Proposals can involve multistakeholder and cross-disciplinary partnership\, which utilise Indian and Australian expertise. Proposals may engage institutions in other Indo-Pacific countries or be designed to be scalable and replicable in India and elsewhere in the Indo-Pacific. \nRound 4 grant funding will prioritise emerging and critical technology-related proposals that focus primarily on the following areas: \n\nInitiatives that develop standards and ethical frameworks to address risks to international peace and stability arising from critical technology design\, development and use.\nActivities that promote diversity and inclusivity in the design\, development and implementation of critical technology standards and ethical frameworks.\nActivities that examine best practice in translating critical technology ethical frameworks and principles into policies and practical action.\nInitiatives that explore how critical technology standards\, ethical frameworks and principles can facilitate bilateral and regional trade (including digital trade) and economic opportunities in critical technologies.\n\nFor any single grant proposal\, the minimum grant funding considered is $150\,000 and the maximum is $250\,000. \nDFAT anticipates that a total of up to A$1.6 million in funding would be available for AICCTP Grant Round 4. \nProspective grantees cannot use funding from other Commonwealth\, state\, territory or local government sources to fund your share of eligible expenditure. DFAT reserves the right to offer less funding than that requested by the applicant.
