SUMMARY:DEADLINE: AEA Seed Grant Applications
DESCRIPTION:The AEA is designed to build a pipeline from discovery research through to commercialisation\, ensuring Australia reaps the benefits of investment in research within the university sector. \nAEA Seed grants are available to support proof-of-concept projects (Technology Readiness Level 3 to 5). Eligible applicants may apply for grants of between $50\, 000 and $500\, 000 for up to 12 months per project. Applications for the first tranche of Seed Grants opened on Monday 6 February 2023. \nProjects must be aligned with the priorities of the National Reconstruction Fund outlined on the Department of Industry\, Science and Resources website. Priority consideration will be given to projects addressing the four priority areas of: \n\nrenewables and low emissions technologies (e.g.\, hydrogen\, micro-grids\, and lithium/rare-earth elements processing)\nmedical science (e.g.\, synthetic biology\, mRNA vaccines\, and remote medicine)\nvalue-add in resources (e.g.\, provenance of rare earth minerals\, advanced minerals extraction\, data driven mining and mining automation and robotics)\nvalue-add in agriculture\, forestry and fisheries sectors (e.g.\, provenance of product\, digital agriculture\, supply chain transformation and alternative proteins)

DESCRIPTION:The Qantas Regional Grants program is back\, offering $10 million to help regional communities sustain brighter futures by providing financial\, flight\, and marketing support to charities\, organisations\, causes\, projects and individuals over a five-year period. \nWho can apply\n\nEntry is open to Australian based individuals\, not-for-profit community groups and organisations of any size\, who are seeking funding to help enhance the lives of people in  regional communities. \nCharitable organisations must also be: \n\n­ registered in Australia\, and\n­ endorsed as income tax exempt.\n\n\n\n\nHow to apply\n\nWe recommend that you take the time to thoughtfully complete your application and ensure all required sections are submitted. \nNote: \n\nApplications must be completed in full\, as you won’t have the ability to save a draft copy\, and return later to edit your answers and complete the submission.\nYou may wish to save a copy of your submission\, as we’re unable to send a copy of your application via email once it’s been submitted.\n\nIf you experience any issues with applying\, email the Qantas Regional Grants team. \n\nJudging criteria\n\nThe Qantas Regional Grants judging panel will determine the successful applicants each year. Judges will examine all eligible entries and select applicants that they determine best meet the below criteria. \n\nThe extent to which the applicant directly services a regional community need and demonstrates a measurable socioeconomic impact.\nThe extent to which the applicant can maximise local community benefits in regional Australia with the Qantas Regional Grants Program funding.\nThe extent to which the project or activity will celebrate and highlight the work of the applicant and help boost the profile and strength of the applicant for the future; and\nThe ability of the applicant to demonstrate innovation in their project strategy\, goals and mission\, and how these align to improving their service offering and increasing regional impact.
