DESCRIPTION:In this conference we will highlight the key emerging strategic research strategies and partnerships underpinning and influencing the Western Australian medical health and research sector. \nOne of our partnerships is with the Future Health Research and Innovation Fund\, FHRI\, which is the key mechanism by which the State Government funds health and medical research. This year SOTS 2023 will focus on the FHRI themes of Aboriginal and rural health\, Burden of disease\, COVID and long COVID\, and Mental health. We will also feature some of the state-wide initiatives that WAHTN has been enabling\, including Women’s Health Research\, Mental Health Research and our nationally recognised Consumer and Community Involvement in research Program. \nWe welcome submission of abstracts from junior to senior health and medical researchers\, consumers\, policy makers and funders. The source and nature of energy\, the security of supply and equity of distribution\, the environmental impact of its supply and utilization\, are all crucial matters to be addressed by suppliers\, consumers governments\, industry\, academia\, and financial institutions. The World Renewable Energy Congress (WREC) is a major forum for networking between these sectors and addresses these issues through regular meetings\, exhibitions\, and conferences such as WREC2022.
