From emerging leaders to established changemakers\, all are invited to explore the future of sustainability in a space that prioritises equity\, access and action. \nThrough three dynamic streams—Transforming Practice\, Learning for Change and Building a Just Transition—we will explore the systems\, skills and leadership needed to embed sustainability across institutions and communities. These conversations will highlight the practical strategies that bring sustainability to life\, the role of education and capability building in shaping change\, and the transformative power of governance rooted in values. Central to this is the recognition and amplification of Indigenous knowledge systems that have cared for Country for generations\, along with a commitment to justice\, climate action and community resilience. \nThe theme\, “The Future of Sustainability”\, challenges us to move beyond harm reduction and embrace a mindset of regeneration\, building institutions\, communities and futures that are resilient\, just and thriving.

DESCRIPTION:Women with bold ideas and a drive to create positive change in rural and regional Australia are invited to apply for the 2026 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award. Applications close on Friday\, 7 November 2025\, and Friday\, 30 January 2026 for Northern Territory (NT) applicants.\nNow in its 25th year\, the Award is Australia’s leading platform for recognising and supporting the leadership of women across rural\, regional and remote businesses\, industries and communities. It champions those who are already making an impact and supports them to take their vision even further. \nState and Territory winners each receive a $15\,000 grant from Westpac to progress their project\, business or program\, along with access to professional development and the AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award Alumni network. The National Winner and Runner Up\, announced at a Gala Dinner\, will receive an additional $20\,000 and $15\,000 respectively. \nWomen with an established project\, business or program that benefits rural industries\, businesses or communities are encouraged to apply.
