How engineering can save the world

20 September 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm AWST

Free

Join us for talk by Dr Gloria Rupf and see a different side of engineering

Keep caring. This is our only world” – Dr William Henry ‘Harry’ Butler AO CBE

From a childhood filled with tales of superheroes, to watching her stepfather build a renewable power station, Gloria realised that her way of saving the world would be fighting climate change via engineering. Travelling through Rwanda and Ethiopia, she found the power that energy access has to improve livelihoods and the need for sustainable energy options to pave the way for a sustainable future.

This event is run in partnership with the Harry Butler Institute and is part of the Our Only World series of events.
