WiTWA: Award Nominations – Writing Workshop #2

27 July 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm AWST

Free

In 2023, we are celebrating our 25th anniversary and could not be more excited to share this with a new batch of Tech [+] Award nominees. We want the brightest stars of the Tech [+] community to be represented!

We know writing an award nomination can be nerve wracking! Whether you find it challenging to talk about your achievements, or are nominating someone else and want to get it just right, our Award Nominations Writing Workshops are a great place to start.

These sessions are being held in July with special guest facilitators and past winners who will share their own experience and learnings to help you:

🎓 Cover off the basics: it’s Tech [+] Awards 101 and a chance to dig into the Award categories, eligibility criteria and nomination rules.

🔍 Find your hook: discover the elements to telling your best story – and making sure you don’t miss any good bits.

💪 Defeat imposter syndrome: gain confidence in your abilities and learn to embrace your achievements. You deserve recognition for your incredible work!

📝 Improve your writing: get recommendations on setting up a good structure, making your submission more concise, and removing gobbledygook (an official term).

⏰ Meet the deadline: learn effective strategies to organise your thoughts and write efficiently, ensuring you submit a polished, compelling entry on time.

We hold the Awards program each year to shine a light on the stories of incredible local women in Tech [+] roles so let us help you find your voice to get your story out there. Together, we can inspire each other, celebrate our successes, and conquer any writing challenges along the way!

Register now to secure your spot! If this time doesn’t suit you, try our evening session on Tuesday, 18 July.
