MIT REAP Perth Program

MIT REAP (Regional Entrepeneurship Acceleration Program)

MIT REAP, the Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), is coming to Western Australia from June 26th – 30th to participate in the third workshop, which is usually based in Boston, Massachusetts.

This will be a great opportunity for the whole innovation and entrepreneurship community to learn from, and interact with some well known professors, faculty and participants while also promoting WA’s active innovation ecosystem, and showcasing its strengths in creating sustainable growth in the fields of agribusiness, robotics, and tourism.

As part of the workshop, team members will attend sessions with MIT professors and members of other cohorts.

The program’s “WA team” includes:

• Woodside Energy;
• Rio Tinto;
• Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation;
• Spacecubed;
• Centre for Entrepreneurial Research and Innovation (CERI);
• Austmine;
• Australian Venture Consultants;
• Malka Foundation;
• West Tech Fest; and
• Curtin University.

  The team over the next two years will undertake an examination of the innovation ecosystem in WA by comparing and contrasting its activities and performance with others globally.
