Each year the World Economic Forum awards 100 leading start-ups from around the globe for their cutting edge technologies with the potential to improve the world. Technology Pioneers engage with the Forum for two years sharing insights and connecting with policy makers and large corporates. The Technology Pioneers community helps early stage start-up scale their impact and technologies to positively shape our shared future.

Selection criteria:

• Bringing to market cutting edge frontier technologies with an effective business model
• Creating positive long-term impacts on society and the planet
• Identifies with the Forum’s mission and is able to contribute time and expertise
• Series A, Less than 10 years old from company inception, Independent and privately held

Technology Pioneers come from a wide range of sectors, such as life sciences, health, energy, the environment, information technologies, and new media. Companies from all sectors and all regions are encouraged to apply. Regional Technology Pioneers will be evaluated in a regional context.
